About Gerald Eze (Ogbuoja Eze)
Gerald Eze (Ogbuoja Eze), our pioneer artist, is a folk music arranger and multi-instrumentalist skilful in the performance of both Western and Indigenous Igbo instruments.
A renowned master performer of the Oja, Gerald Eze has popularized the application of Oja in afrobeats, choral music, art music and reggae, taking it from a local antique to a global treasure.
He has shared his amazing gifts through various performances and lectures around the world, including in reputable institutions such as the David Zwirner Art Gallery, in New York and Dartmouth College, Hanover.
He is also the founder of the Ichoku Academy, an Integrated Arts institution which provides creative education for young people through indigenous African culture.
